With a variety of students from contrasting educational as well as cultural backgrounds, every member is equally responsible for the team's success. Supervising them are the team leads, who go the extra step to bring out the best in every one of them.

Jack Saade
Class of 2023 | Mechanical Engineering
Jack is a 4th year mechanical engineering student with a specialization in renewable energy. As Project Lead, Jack must ensure that all benchmarks must be reached before their deadlines, as well as ensure that each team is organized and on schedule. His two favorite things are good music and the support of his millions of fans.
Electrical Lead:
Lance Zhu
Class of 2023 | Electrical Engineering
Lance Zhu is a 4th-year Electrical engineering student at UCSD. As the electrical lead, Lance oversees all research, development, manufacturing, and testing efforts for solar car electrical systems. Lance sought out the Solar Car Project to grasp a deeper understanding of the EV building process and efficient energy usage. In the time spent outside of his studies you can find Lance on the DJ decks at raves or watching various motorsports.
Business Lead:
Alex Diaz
Class of 2025 | Mechanical Engineering
Alex Diaz is a 2nd-year mechanical engineering student at UCSD. As the business lead, Alex manages the business team to manage sponsorships, social media, funding, and non-assembly-related functions related to the solar car. Alex joined Triton Solar Car with the goal of getting hands-on experience with mechanical engineering and build upon his passion for the development of sustainable technology.
